In the wake of harmful wildfire conditions across B.C., one Vancouver microcosm is coming together to raise awareness and financial aid for those affected. Rise of the Comics is proud to support the Vancouver Comedy Community in their efforts to raise awareness and funds for the tragic wildfire outbreak across B.C.
Being so community-centric and charitable, the comedians are graciously putting on TWO wildfire relief fundraiser shows:
- Yuk Yuk’s Vancouver on Sunday, August 13th – this show will feature some of Canada’s best comedians, including: Simon King, Ivan Decker, Kathleen McGee, Tim Nutt, Dino Archie, Kevin Fox, and Justin Nichol + special guests! Buy tickets here for just $20!
- Simon King’s “28-Hour Comedy Marathon For a Cause” at Kino Comedy August 14th-15th! Spanning from 7pm on the 14th to 11pm on the 15th, this incredible display for charity is one of the most unique events we’ve seen. The showcase features 91 (wow!) different comics, including Rise of the Comics host/creator Scotty Aceman, who is performing at 12:20 am Tuesday morning! Buy tickets at the door for just $10!
ALL proceeds go to The Red Cross and Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team!
Rise of the Comics is committed to ensuring everyone across B.C. is aware of these fantastic shows, plus how to donate if you can’t make it. Please donate to Red Cross here, and thank you for supporting a great cause! With the great comedic talent here in Vancouver why not put a show together benefitting groups supporting individuals displaced by the wildfires? 🙂
